About WiN-Japan

Welcome to the WiN-Japan(WiN-J) website. I am honored and very pleased that you have taken the time to visit our website.

WiN-J was established in April 2000 by gathering the working women involved in nuclear energy and radiation application field in Japan. When we began our foundation, our membership was about 60, and now we can count over 200 members . WiN-J has been growing year by year in number, also improving in the quality of the events.

Needless to say, Japan is the only nation in the world which has been victimized by the atomic bombs. Additionally, Japanese people have a peculiar sentimentalism coming from unique culture and social structure. Therefore, we must realize the special emotion of Japanese people toward science and technology especially nuclear energy and radiation. The way to acquire people’s understanding of nuclear energy may take a long time, but WiN-J members will continue to fulfill our challenging mission for the peaceful use of nuclear energy with exchanging mutual professional skills and with all our heart.

In this website, WiN-J is able to show many activities since our foundation. All of our public communication’s activities were planned very carefully according to the target audience, locations, levels of knowledge and social situations of the moment. We sometimes planned the international activities with the support of WiN Global(WiN-G) members. I hope these presentations of our efforts will give you and your colleagues useful information and better lessons learned for your future activities. WiN-J members will enjoy progressing with WiN-G members to create the bright future of nuclear energy and prosperity of the human beings.
